Core Responsibilities
1. Implement Behavior Plans
• Carry out individualized treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Use evidence-based ABA techniques to teach and reinforce desired behaviors.
• Record accurate data on client progress and behavior occurrences.
2. Data Collection & Reporting
• Collect and input behavioral data consistently during each session.
• Monitor trends and progress toward goals.
• Communicate session outcomes and observations to the supervising BCBA.
3. Direct Client Interaction
• Work one-on-one (or sometimes in small groups) with clients, often children or individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Teach communication, social, academic, and daily living skills using structured ABA methods.
• Manage and reduce challenging behaviors using positive behavior interventions.
4. Support Skill Development
• Facilitate learning across settings (home, school, community).
• Use prompting, reinforcement, and shaping techniques to encourage skill acquisition.
• Help generalize learned skills across environments and people.

Collaboration and Supervision
• Attend team meetings and training sessions.
• Follow feedback from the BCBA to ensure fidelity in implementation.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and therapists to promote consistency in behavior interventions.

• Follow the BACB® RBT Ethics Code.
• Maintain client confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Document sessions accurately and on time.
